The Thought

David Marx had this vision of creating The Science Kitchen, a lab, production and exploration space for the future of food. His vision was part conceptual and part architectural and he approached me about putting it into something tangible that would serve as a communication tool for the people, stakeholders and collaborators he wanted to approach.

The Shape

In a series of visual conversations, we extracted the different elements of The Science Kitchen. We used a building and its levels as a metaphor. I created a mini-edition hand-made book that illustrated in images and words what David was dreaming of.
