A little while ago, my friend Dave Strudwick sent me an email with a draft of a blog post that he is going to publish. Dave is a brilliant teacher, learner, leader, has founded two schools and has a passion for life, creativity and learning. In his blog post, he speaks about the lessons he is learning from life in general and our current situation in the global pandemic and crisis in particular. He condenses his thinking down to three words: wonder, act and grow. You can read his post here.

In my video I am reacting visually to Dave’s writing and thinking, starting off our visual conversation with sketches and first illustrations. – I did mostly concentrate on one picture idea and I am curious to see how Dave reacts to it and where this will visually lead.
Again, I am sharing something that is unfinished, showing part of my process of thinking and making. It feels good to show this most enjoyable part of my work, where I go on a journey.
Below are the video and the sketches and illustrations that emerged, ready for our visual conversation, Dave, let’s talk :)
